Human Resources Department


The mission of the Human Resources Department is to provide effective human resource management by developing and implementing policies, programs and services that align with the stated organizational mission and goals. These activities include:

  • Attracting, retaining and developing a high quality workforce reflective of the diversity of our region in a manner that is in compliance with our legal and regulatory environment

  • Developing and administering the examination process

  • Directing the District’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program and ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws

  • Administering the classification, compensation and benefits programs

  • Managing labor and employee relations activities

  • Managing training and professional development programs

  • Interacting with the District’s Civil Service Board

  • Maintaining the Enterprise System – Human Resources Module and employment records related to employees and budgeted positions

  • Providing a safe work environment for employees
