We offer facility tours for groups of up to 30 persons, within the age range of 7th grade to adult. Tours are Monday through Friday and are scheduled upon request. Tours may begin as early as 9:00 a.m. and must start no later than 1:00 p.m. Tours are available at the following facilities:

Water Reclamation Plants (WRP): 2.5 hour tour

Terrence J. O'Brien WRP, 3500 Howard St., Skokie, IL
John E. Egan WRP, 550 S. Meacham Rd., Schaumburg, IL
James C. Kirie WRP, 701 Oakton St., Des Plaines, IL
Hanover Park WRP, 1220 Sycamore Ave., Hanover Park, IL
Lemont WRP, 13 Stephen St., Lemont, IL

Tunnel and Reservoir Plan (TARP) Pumping Station: 1.25 hour tour
Mainstream Pumping Station, 6100 River Rd., Hodgkins, IL

Powerhouse: 1.5 hour tour
Lockport Powerhouse, 2400 S. Powerhouse Rd., Lockport, IL
Please note that Lockport Powerhouse tours are not available at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and will post an update once we resume scheduling tours at this location. Thank you.

Once you receive a confirmation of your tour, each tour participant must submit a release form 30 days in advance of the tour. Anyone over 18 years of age must provide a scan or photocopy of their state ID or passport for a security check, and present same on day of tour. Substitution of persons or identification is not permitted. For safety, long pants and sturdy shoes are required (no shorts, dresses, sandals or heels). All photographic equipment, backpacks, purses, food and drink are not permitted in the facilities. All participants are subject to search.
